    Abstract
Exceptional Lacrosse Player Had a Passion For All Sports. Michael Spirito liked setting records. As a member of the Pingry lacrosse team, he made first team attack on the All-State team and was selected for the 1975 All-American first team, which was a first in Pingry history. His lacrosse record is nothing short of stellar, setting school records for total points (97), season total points (63), career goals (66), season goals (43), season assists (20), and career assists (31). Michael was awarded the Richard C. Weiler Lacrosse Award “for outstanding leadership, sportsmanship, and playing ability during his years in Pingry lacrosse.” Michael also excelled on the gridiron and was considered to be one of the football team’s strongest assets. An injury prevented him from pursuing his love of basketball, although he was a strong supporter of the Pingry team. Michael had a true passion for all sports and credits his accomplishments to lessons learned from his older brother, Tony ‘71 and Mr. Vincent Lesneski.
