| Description | In the fall of 1935, Coach Williams, the School, and the Alumni viewed with a rather deep-seated satisfaction the prospects for the upcoming football season. The result was even better than the previewers had foretold. Losing their footing only twice, the boys won five out of the seven games they played. The Newman captain, in conference with the captain of the Princeton Freshmen team, described the Blue and White in the following words: "I'd rather play you guys six days a week than Pingry once. They're the fightin'est aggregation we've hit this year." |
